Playing Music On Your Blog June 6, 2006

One way of playing music on your blog is as follows:
- Register for free on the Internet Archive.
- Register for free on Ourmedia.
- Upload your music and video to Ourmedia.
- Go to the media page on Ourmedia for the file you just uploaded…
- Find the 'File's media URL' and copy the link.
- Add a link to your blog post.
- You may want to make the link open in a new window.
For example, here is a remix of Into Nothing, by Moochy (media page).

Wiki For Web Design June 1, 2006

I've been setting up a wiki for web designers and promotion on the Web. A wiki is a website that can be edited or added to by any of its readers. The most well known wiki is Wikipedia, an online encyclopedia of everything.

So, what can I do with this?
I already take part in a collective blog called Dharmasphere and I also post my photos on Flickr, so why would I need another blog…?
Partly to express things that I wouldn't in the collective space, partly to check out the features of WordPress.com and partly to give an example to music students in Manchester who I'll be teaching about blogging and all things online.
Will I use this new blog? Let's see…
